SCHS Library Enhances Student Experience with New Location

Southside College of Health Sciences (SCHS) is pleased to share that its library will soon be moving to a newly renovated location within the old Simulation Lab. This transition marks a significant upgrade, with the new library featuring fresh paint, new carpet and modern furniture.

Grand Opening of SCHS's State-of-the-Art Clinical Simulation and Learning Center

On June 12, 2024, Southside College of Health Sciences celebrated the grand opening of the state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation and Learning Center. This significant event marked the culmination of months of dedicated work from many individuals.

The ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries and esteemed college donors, including the First Lady of Virginia, Suzanne Youngkin. This new facility represents a transformative addition for our nursing students, offering invaluable hands-on experience and advanced training opportunities.

Local Networking Group Offers Scholarship for Aspiring Diabetes Care and Education Specialists

In a move to foster the growth of future healthcare professionals dedicated to diabetes care, the ADCES Central Virginia Local Networking Group has announced an exciting opportunity for students aspiring to become Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES). The group is offering a fully paid registration to the Virginia Coordinating Body Annual State Conference along with potential travel expenses for one deserving student.
